Food Science
Our research in this area covers: Physical-chemical characterisation of food systems such as proteins and polysaccharides and their mixtures in solution, gel or emulsion states.

On farm systems
Molecular plant-microbe interactions: understanding the molecular host specificity of bioprotective symbionts of forage grass; identifying new symbionts of pasture plant species; and characterising regulatory mechanisms of plant-regulated fungal genes.
Current internship and scholarship opportunities
Dairy Goat Cooperative (DGC) MSc Scholarship
The DGC is now offering an annual scholarship, called The Russ Moroney Scholarship. The scholarships is awarded each year to one graduate student undertaking a Masters level degree at University of Auckland. The scholarship is in recognition of Russ Moroney, a pioneering member of the DGC Co-operative. His vision and leadership of the Co-operative as its founding Chairman was instrumental in DGC becoming a successful international export business
